New research is designed to help calm couples' unrealistic beliefs that "good" sex should last a long time.
No time for sex? Good news: U.S. researchers have found that sex lasting seven to 13 minutes is the most desirable. The study, published in the International Journal of Sexual Medicine, polled a random sample of Americans and Canadians, and also found that intercourse lasting between three and seven minutes was "adequate"—and that sex over 13 minutes is "too long." Surprised?

I have a play list on YouTube with fun kid videos and songs. So when my husband and I want private time I load the list and park the little one in front of the computer, and he doesn’t move a muscle. The short 2 minute clips are perfect to keep his attention and I have over 40 in the list so he stays put for a while. This gives us time to be romantic and not rush, so it really not a quickie, LOL.

At exactly what point do “they” start the timer?
