Mom•Logic's Fave Dr. Seuss Books

To celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday,
here are some of the most Mom-friendly reads.

As a nod to "Read Across America Day" and a "Happy Birthday" to Dr. Seuss, aka Theodor Seuss Geisel, here are our top Dr. Seuss books that are fun for kids (and less annoying for Moms):
jackieM.jpgI have read lots of them, but my kids totally take to ABC and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. In addition to being fun, I think they're really good for letter recognition, colors and sounds.
sabrin.jpg I love Horton Hatches The Egg. This book is about what being a Mother truly means, hanging in there through the good and the bad. I always get teary at the end, when Horton, a True Good Mom, gets the best reward of all.
julie.jpgGreen Eggs and Ham is so catchy, and my kids love it. They can read it again and again and never get bored. However, we don't eat ham in our family, so it's kind of funny that this is their favorite.
andrea.jpg We love Oh, The Places You'll Go because even though it's about a little boy going off into the world, we change the words so it's for our daughter, Lilly.
The one book that resonated the most for us was My Many Colored Days. It was refreshing to find a book that tapped into kids' feelings and why it was okay to feel sad, mad, happy...or just mixed up. A nice departure from the usual sing-song rhymey-cliche Seuss that we all know too well!

What are your favorites?
