'Wife Swap' Moms: Would They Do It Again?
Mom•Logic caught up with the Moms from last night's episode to get the scoop on what you didn't see!
Sue Ann, a Mom of a teen girl, runs her house as efficiently as her family business-- a pet funeral parlor and crematorium. Radio DJ Cat, mother of a tween boy, runs a loose and fun home and a radio show. Did they enjoy the swap?
What was the best moment and the worst moment?
Cat: The low point for me, which was not shown, was
when I was forced to hide in the guest bathroom because Tom kept asking
me to vacuum! I just couldn't vacuum five times a day. The best moment
for me was returning home to my husband and son even though my husband
didn't run to hug me. All the husbands run to the wives on the show
except mine! I think he was in shock by the whole experience.
Sue Ann: The worst part for me was walking into their
dirty house for the first time. It was a mess! All the mattresses were
on the floors, there was junk and dirty clothes everywhere, and I had
no towels. No to mention their cat ate directly off the kitchen table.
The best part was being on TV and seeing how it all works.
Did your family change from this experience?
Cat: Yes! My husband is now working on two comic books,
which are due out this year. As you know from the show, he hasn't been
working. My son has never really been involved in any organized groups
and recently joined little league. The show has made him a local
celebrity, and he has gained new friends in the neighborhood, which is so
great.
Sue Ann: Not really, honey. I wish I could tell you yes, but we haven't changed a thing.
Talk to us about the incident when Sue Ann lost her temper and yelled at Andrew.
Cat: My son, James, witnessed Sue Ann yell at my
husband, Andrew. James told me he was not scared by Sue Ann's temper,
but it did make him sad to hear her say bad things about his parents.
We talked to him about it, and he is fine now.
Sue Ann: I was fed up with Andrew not taking advantage
of the jobs I set up for him and thinking that his wife is perfect. I
am a passionate person, and I lost my temper. He took it hard and jumped
in his car with his son and took off for four hours! This was against the
rules of the show. He returned and we eventually made up.
Would you do it again?
Cat: How much you paying? Kidding, life is about risk and we'd take the plunge again.
Sue Ann: I would do it again. Life is about experiencing new things.
