Today would have been Fred Rogers' 80th birthday--we feel nostalgic over our childhood neighbor.

To celebrate TV's favorite neighbor, friends of Mr. Rogers have declared today as "Sweater Day." Applebee's is also asked customers and associates to wear a sweater to work, school or play today.

Hearing this made us long for the days of soothing kids music, cardigans and the sweet relief we felt when Mister Rogers took off his street shoes and slid into his house sneakers. Now popular kid's shows bombard us with bright images, loud, fast music and obnoxious characters that our kids may enjoy, but cause us to have seizures.
