A toy designed to teach kids the alphabet has been accused of teaching the F-word instead.

A Florida grandfather, Knutty Frye, (yes, that is his real name) claims if you press the 'F' and 'J' keys simultaneously on a Leapfrog Alphabet Pal Caterpillar, it'll spew out some foul language. Mom•Logic heard this story and decided to put the allegedly cursing caterpillar to the test.

That is so funny!! Actually my daughter received one of these as a gift. Of course my husband and I decided to test it out and check the bad word theory. It definitely won’t say bad words and instead it will laugh and say… that tickles. It is fabulous and we love it!!!

When I heard this accusation of the AlphaBug I had to laugh. YEARS ago when my 8 year old was newborn we got this toy. We had some friends who showed us how when you tried to get it to say the “F” word or other expletives it would justlaugh and say, “that tickles.” It will say a number of word cominations but it seems they somehow programmed it not to say obscenities. That was our experience anyway.

My daughter recieved this toy and we had to do our own test. I can see why he thinks it sounds bad.. it actually sounds like fa jew. You have to let the F sound complete before pushing the J. It really doesn’t sound bad though. lol. Hilarious!
