Hall of Famer Roger Clemens, father of four, gets hit with a curveball--country singer Mindy McCready cops to their affair.

News has leaked alleging that pitcher Roger Clemens had an affair more than a decade ago with country singer Mindy McCready, who was just 15 when they met. Clemens, who was then 28 years old and married with children, has not confirmed or denied the report, but Mindy says it's true. Clemens is also rumored to have had an affair with Paulette Dean Daly, golfer John Daly's wife.

Jeez--another famous dad being called out for infidelity? Momlogic spoke with relationship expert Matt Titus, star of the reality show Matched in Manhattan, for insight into why husbands cheat in the first place.

"Men who cheat think their actions are repercussionless," he says. "Any sort of power--whether it's sports, politics or finance--creates a feeling within of unstoppability, and that makes many men feel they're above everything."

So how can Moms--whether their husbands are famous or not--avoid being cheated on? Titus offers three tips:

Never take a backseat to your husband's career or ego. If you put him and his career first, you've created a situation where you're vulnerable to immoral acts by that guy.

Be as financially independent as possible. Infidelity is infidelity, no matter the size of the bank account. If you discover you've married a cheater, you should be as financially independent as possible during this time so that you can have the freedom to walk away.

Let him know actions have consequences. He needs to understand that an independent wife like you could leave him at any given moment based on his actions.

Finally, remember that you're the mother of his children. Even if your husband loves female attention, this earns you a distinction between you and any other dime-a-dozen women. Be confident in that knowledge.

Do you know a cheating Dad? Why did he stray?

I know a cheating Mom who strayed. I think it was because she could - like she did it once, he took her back, so she figured that was her okay. Of course that was five or so years ago and she is still leaving and cheating, and he is still taking her back. My question is how can you get someone to think/say enough is enough, get out and never come back.

because humans aren’t naturally monogamous, that’s why.
