I think the survey writers have confused the concept of IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) with ART (Alternative Reproduction Therapy).
Not everyone who seeks infertility treatment does IVF.

I agree with the first comment. I am going through infertility, and am pursuing treatment, but have not progressed to IVF, and likely won’t in the future because of the prohibitive cost. The survey is not about infertility, but about IVF. There are other treatments for infertility than just IVF. The vast majority of infertile women do not do IVF, because either a less invasive approach works first, or because they give up, or run out of funds, or decide to adopt, etc. The survey does not come anywhere close to getting the inside story on infertility. IVF, maybe… Infertility, definitely not.

I am a mother who had issues conceiving for 3yrs. My boyfriend @ the time which is now my husband went through several alternative methods of fertility treatment before deciding to do IVF. Initially, I was against IVF, but after 3yrs of failed attempts @ trying Timed, Sex, Clomed, and Artificial Insemenation, I finally decided to go ahead with the IVF & especially since his insurance covered it 100%. On our very first try we got pregnant and now I have a beautiful set of 2 month old twin girls that I love to death thanks to the help of IVF!!!!!
