Momlogic's Jackie: When I flew across the world to see the daughter we're adopting, not only did I meet the most precious little girl, but I discovered so much more about myself.

When we were matched back in September with a 7-month-old baby in Taiwan, we had no idea that with red tape and court complications, we'd still be waiting almost eight months later. With no end in sight, I got on a plane to see firsthand, the little girl who will soon become our daughter. Here's my video diary of the trip that changed my life.

In 1974, at the age of 16 years old, I gave my baby boy up for a better life (for him). I hope his mama loved him as much as I do.

My heart aches for you, I cried when I watched the last video. I’m so sorry you had to leave your baby, the pain I know you felt. She will be home soon.
