My name is Nichole, I’m 29 and had my son on 4/23/08. I am greatful for all we have but most of my son’s baby stuff was bought at consignment stores or through our friends. All I ever asked for was a healthy baby and thats what I got! I just want the best for our new baby boy. Good luck to all the other Mom’s out there and Happy Mother’s Day. Thank you Ellen for giving us this chance!

I am writing for my daughter, she has just found out that she is pregnant. She is 19, her name is Kelli. For the past year she has been trying to make it on her own, but due to the difficult times we as a nation are experincing she has ask to move back home. I being a mother of eight children myself accepted her with loving arms. Her boyfriend has done the right thing by asking her hand in marriage and at this moment he is trying to get into the service. My daughter Kelli, is so stress, she has not been able to get to a doctor due to her not having insurance, she has recently lost her job. Every day she is throwing up, having headaches, and left in a string of confusion. She is surrounded by loving brothers and sisters, in which one of her brothers has offered to let her live with him until she gets on her feet, and so that I will not have too much of a load on me (I still have 3 at home, and a single mom mysel after 27 yrs of marriage).
She is at this moment going to Cal. with him. I know when I was her age and pregnant I worried about everything and I had no one to help me out, we were young and married….I know she is beyond stress, because she cry’s so much. I think kelli would love to have the things you shared with your guess. She has no ideal that I am writing.
I would just love to see that beautiful smile on her face again.

Thank you

How I wish to have few of the giveaways. I just have my baby and nobody gave me a baby shower.

Stephanie Doherty May 9, 2008, 8:31 PM

Dear Ellen,

I really enjoyed your show today. It was refreshing to see so may women celebrated for being pregnant. Often we forget how amazing the miricale of life really is and we forget all that each person goes through to have a little bundle of joy. I just found out that I am pregnant with my first child. I am excited and scared to death at the same time!! My husband and I are in our mid 30’s and have been trying for quite sometime, so I can’t tell you how blessed we feel. I just wanted to thank you for making me feel like I wasn’t alone. Seeing all those women on your show today made me feel like I wasn’t alone.Thank you so much. You Rock Ellen!

Grandma04 May 9, 2008, 8:43 PM

I am a grandma of 3, ages 8, 3, and 20 mo. My daughter and her husband are pregnant again. They are beautiful people, especially the kids! However, and I’m not ashamed to ask, they are in need of new stuff for their baby due in late December or early January 09. They have been through so many hard times and nothing has torn them apart. I mean 10 years of hard times. The are finally in a small apt. they can afford, jobs here in Florida don’t pay much, and they are happy. But the money runs out and the kids don’t eat much, no one eats much.
I am pleading on my grandbabies behalves that Ellen can help them as she did on her show today. My daughter’s internet and phone got disconnected last weekend so she is unable to ask herself or sign up or whatever it is she should do. Her husband has the car all day so she is not able to come to my house and use my computer.
I know there are alot of needy people out there. I myself am disabled and do not receive enough income to get myself through the month, let alone buy them another crib, carseat and all that stuff for her new baby.
If anyone thinks I’m selfish, so what. What I am is an American woman who loves her children and grandchildren and am just asking for some help for them.
Thank you

Hi Ellen, I am 26 weeks along and having coplications. At 24 weeks I was sent to the UCSF Medical Center, aprox. 6 hours away from everything and everyone I know and love. my son Dominick (age 7) asked me two years ago for a brother or sister so he would not be alone in the world when we pass. Sence then we have failed him once before do to a miscarage, and other things wrong with me…..
This has been a long hard stretch for everyone. Because we have nothing for this child (Payton) to come, this would be a wonderful gift, any thing would help;so please pick us.
Thank you Ellen!

Ellen I am 18 and expecting my first little one. She will be here July 12,2008. I hope that you will consider me for the prize. But I will understand if not. I just would like to give my mom a break. She has really hepled me out since I found out that I was expecting. She lost her job but she has found the money to help me as much as she can. She is trying to find us a home that we can live in that has heat so when the baby comes she will not be cold in the winter. My father does the best that he can. He is gone all but four days out of the mont trying to make ends meet. I will be graduating from school on May 22 and I still plan to go to college after Jayden is born in July. I want to make a life for me and my daughter. I want to be a good mother like my mother was to me and my brother. But Ellen I would like to take some burden off of her and my father. I have been working part time to try to help her some.My doctor has told me that I probably could not work much longer. My grandfather seen your show today and taped it for me. I rally enjoyed it. Ellen I really would like to thank you again.

Karen and Kathy May 9, 2008, 9:42 PM

Without planning or even thinking of it, my sister Kathy and I are 6 days apart. We are so excited to be welcoming two babies into our already loving family! My sister has 3 girls and I have 1 girl! She is so excited to be expecting a boy and my daughter is anxiously awaiting a baby sister. In the past we managed raising our babies by sharing everything from cribs to clothing… now that we are due at the same time, we’re wondering what we will do to make ends meet and ensure our children will have all that they need. God bless you Ellen for all that you do for everyone! Happy Mother’s Day to all!!!

Hey … whwelp I am a 20 year old mother of a beautiful 2 month old baby girl named Mckenzie! I watch your show all the time and I loved the mothers day show today and I wish I could have been an audience member because the giveaways were spectacular. They would help a single mother like myself who is struggling through college. But at the end of the day even thought it was a struggle I am very Grateful to have been given the chance to be a mother!

Michelle May 9, 2008, 9:49 PM

Ellen~
I loved your show today…especially the part where the sister wrote in for her sister to get some help.
I am writing for my older sister. We both have boys who will be 5 in December. I have a little boy who will be 2 on mothers day and my sister just found out she is expecting a little girl in September. My sister drives almost an hour one way to work and works about 12 hours a day to provide for her family, on top of going to school to get her bachelors degree for business. She is very busy but still has time to take care of her child. Her husband also works 12 hours a day and drives almost 2 hours to get to work all to help make ends meet(he is also in school). I am hoping that you will help me to help them out so that they can give the best to our little girl! This will be our 1st girl and probalby the last, so I want to help her make it the most special time.
Please help me to help them at this time of JOY!
Thank you for your consideration!
Michelle
