For the Love of Lucy: Day 3

filed under: baby

Earlier this week, Momlogic's Jackie finally met her daughter Lucy. But how will she cope with having to say goodbye?

After a joyous and emotional few days in Taiwan with her daughter, Lucy, the time has come for Jackie to fly back home until the adoption is final. Now, after waiting nearly eight months to finally meet her daughter, Jackie faces every mother's worst nightmare ... leaving her child behind.

When Jackie and her family began the adoption process, they were told that they'd be able to bring the newest addition to their family home in approximately six to twelve months. Well, it's now been nearly eight months and there's still no guarantee that they will get the call anytime soon. Their case is stuck in the court system, and they've gotten no answers. It could be finalized next month or it could be next year. Jackie probably won't see Lucy again until the adoption process is final, unfortunately. For now, Jackie clings to the memories of her precious Lucy and looks forward to the day when her daughter finally comes home for good. That day couldn't come soon enough.
