Parents everywhere are sitting through the never-ending graduation ceremony--but what they're thinking is not what you'd think!
While many sit with tears forming in their eyes, wondering where the years have gone, others are more than happy for their kid to be passing this milestone so they can get their lives back. Some grad parents actually had the guts to share their most personal thoughts during the momentous occasion. Here are a few:
- Finally, back to having sex in the kitchen!
- Thank God the school never found out he spent more time on Guitar Hero than on his homework. (Gulp!)
- Do I get a refund for the classes she skipped?
- I never have to see any of these other mothers again! (Happy dance!)
- I'm really regretting that second glass of wine the night he was conceived. Valedictorian, he is not.
- Can't wait to decorate my new office.
- Wow, that keynote speaker is kinda cute.
- I only want to see my kid walk across stage--but there are 526 graduates? Bru-tal.
- I should have brought my iPod.
- How can I be old enough to be the mother of a graduate? Wasn't I just graduating, like, yesterday?
If you're the mother of a graduate, what secret thoughts ran through your mind?
I just hope he makes good choices and is successful in everything he does. It is time to leave!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am one of them Moms that cry for a week after droping of there kid at college. I miss her so much. She just came home the summer. I still feel that way. She dose not feel that way. I think I love her more then she love me. She has a new boyfriend now. She cryed when she had to leave him behind. She said that is not the same kind of love. That I should not try to compare my love for her with her love for him. Love is Love it hurt to leave someone behind. What do you think?
