ML's Shannon Fox was happy Hillary could relate to common Mom dramas when she co-hosted our town hall meeting in North Carolina Saturday.

I don't mind admitting that I had some serious butterflies rocking my stomach as I waited to meet Senator Clinton. The magnitude of interviewing the potential first woman president was not lost on me!

But as soon as she shook my hand, I was at ease, as if I was greeting a girlfriend for coffee. She was much prettier, more genuine, and with an easier sense of humor than I had predicted. Hillary shared some real stories that all of us could relate to as moms--it was fun to hear that even the first lady had to deal with her daughter's inappropriate clothing choices! Her personable, relaxed attitude didn't end when the cameras shut off.

When she came backstage to chat with us, she exclaimed about the chocolate cake on the table, "Get that temptation away from me!" We could all relate! I was only disappointed that she didn't extend an invitation to meet her for lunch in the White House next year.
