The "private matter" behind Shania Twain and Robert "Mutt" Lange's split after 14 years just became very public.

Less than a week ago, Shania Twain and her producer husband Robert "Mutt" Lange announced they were splitting after 14 years of marriage and one child together, 6-year-old Eja D'Angelo. Now, People reports several sources close to the couple are saying "Mutt" was involved--and continues to be involved--with the couple's secretary and manager of their Switzerland home, the also-married Marie Ann Thiébaud. Lange was quick to fire back, saying to People, "It's absolutely not the reason [for the separation]. It's not true."

It is hard to believe that someone as beautiful as Shania would be cheated on by someone called "Mutt." But then, you think back to some other celebrity splits and realize no matter how beautiful and talented the woman, she still ends up being cheated on.

shania is a beautiful woman and a great entertainer. It’s sad that her marriage is over. All marriages are sacred and “works In Progress” because they are made up of 2 inperfect humans, so my thoughts are w/ her during this difficult time in her life. Noone can judge the decisions she makes or may make in the future concerning this painful time-remember until u walk in someone else’s shoes…. hang in their shania- life gets better, slowly, surely. God bless.
