Vuv-A-Licious Mom says there's one reason men cheat on beautiful women--it's called "chasing the strange."
I read MomLogic's "It Feels Like Another Woman," and I don't know about you ladies, but I'm numb to the cheating thing. Cheating doesn't shock me anymore, even when the chick being cheated on is a celebrity and is hot!!
Know why? Because new is exciting and some people just can't fight the impulse for "new." For "butterflies in the stomach," for "I gotta rip your clothes off before I brush my teeth and get ready for bed." If new was not exciting what guy in their right mind would cheat on Halle Berry? I don't care if she's a bitch (which I don't think she is), she's meteorically hot!!! What amount of nagging to take out the garbage could justify cheating on Halle Berry?!! Yet, Eric Benet was "chasing the strange," wasn't he? And that is just not that hard to grasp intellectually. Emotionally, another story.
Yet why do you rarely read about women cheating on hot men? Are we more clever and less apt to get caught? Do we fight the urge to "chase the strange," better than our male counterparts? Do we desire it less? Do we value the sanctity of our relationships more?
Mom Logic and the Vuv Club want to hear your thoughts.
