Dina Lohan gets Mom of the Year award?: Mingling Moms in Long Island, New York is honoring Lindsey Lohan's mom tonight with their first annual "Top Mom" award for standing by her daughter during her past struggles. Other honorees at tonight's event include breast cancer survivor Carol Baldwin, mother of Alec, Billy and Stephen, and Betty Seinfeld, mother of Jerry.

Cyclone death toll tops 22,000: Burma government officials report that over 22,000 people were killed by Cyclone Nargis this past weekend. 41,000 people remain missing as the international community rushes to provide assistance in the search and recovery efforts.

Kindergartener brings his mother's drugs to school: A 6-year-old boy brought his mom's marijuana and cocaine to school on Monday to show his teacher. The teacher immediately took the student to the principal's office, police were called, and the school was placed on lockdown. Police say the boy told them everything they needed to know to slap his mother with drug and child endangerment charges.

Mom updated Facebook profile, was then murdered by husband: A mother of 2 from England was killed by her husband after she posted a note on her Facebook page saying she was leaving him after 16 years of marriage. The husband reportedly shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself.
