Obama leads Clinton in all critical categories for first time: Senator Obama leads Senator Clinton in states won, the popular vote, elected delegate count and, for the first time, superdelegates. Clinton is resisting pressure to drop out of the race and argues that she is the strongest candidate to defeat McCain. Some pundits believe Clinton is using increasingly divisive and harmful rhetoric towards Obama and played the race card when she said her opponent's "support among hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again."

Jessica Simpson to be little sister's maid of honor: Jessica, who was once a bride herself, revealed she will be her younger sister Ashlee's maid of honor when she ties the knot with fiancé Pete Wentz. The wedding details have remained secret, despite rumors the singer and rock star could exchange vows as early as next week.

Pot-smoking may lead to dependency and mental illness in teens: Researchers consider depression, teens, and marijuana a dangerous combination. According to a White House report, pot-smoking teens are 40% more likely to develop mental disorders, and teens who smoke at least once a month over a year-long period are three times more likely to have suicidal thoughts than non-users. Depressed teen smokers are also twice as likely to abuse or become addicted to pot.

Children can ruin marital bliss: Married couples are happier, live longer and enjoy sex more than those who are not, but a new study finds that children can change that equation. Happiness levels are at their highest when couples find out they're expecting, but once the baby arrives, their bliss takes a dive. Studies say children can cause stress and depression in relationships, which may not improve until after the kids move out of the house. (What a downer!)

My oldest daughter just had her first child on April 6. She will be 30 tomarrow and had some difficulty getting pregnant. What a blessing this new baby girl is. Being picked for the carseats and stroller would be great. Thanks for the chance.

Hi Ellen,
Loved your show today…as usual. My daugher is expecting her 4th child. She and her husband thought they had stopped having kids, so they got rid of all the baby things. Not smart! Well, now our little surprise is due in August, and they having nothing. To make matters worse, her husband lost his job. He is working part time to try and make the bills, but she and I both know that we are really going to have to start garage-saling it. I would love for her to win some of the prizes. She would be thrilled, and I could probably save a buck or two. My grandkids are such a blessing and I would do anything for them. Help me please…by the way, Gladys is hysterical!! Love ya!!!

My oldest son Scott (40) and his girlfriend Lisa (39) are expecting my 12th grandchild in early July. It is a boy. There will be 21 years difference from Scotts first child to the new one. Scott also has a granddaughter that will be one before her Uncle is born. They could use everything since his older brother will be almost 17 when his brother is born. I hope you consider these new parents to be for gifts that they sure could use. Thanks Ellen. GreatGrandma Mary
