2 million teens depressed: A newly released government survey reports that more than 2 million American teenagers suffered from a severe bout of depression over the past year. Depression, which is the third leading cause of death for teens, was more likely to afflict girls than boys.
Dennis Quaid testifies before Congress about twins' accidental drug overdose: Actor Dennis Quaid's twins almost died last year when they were given an accidental overdose of heparin, a blood-thinner drug. Quaid is arguing for the right to sue the pharmaceutical company for their failure to remove the drug from the market despite the strikingly similar labels for different does of the blood thinner.
