Ashlee Simpson gets hitched: Ashlee announced she and longtime boyfriend, Pete Wentz, got married last night at her parents house in a wedding with an  "Alice in Wonderland" theme. Still no confirmation if the couple is expecting any special deliveries in the next few months.

Ted Kennedy recovering after seizure: The senior senator from Massachusetts was airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital  Saturday after suffering a seizure. Kennedy, 76, is in stable condition but remains hospitalized. 

Carnival ride collapse injures kids: 23 people, mostly children, were injured Friday after a popular spinning chair ride, known as the Yo-Yo, collapsed due to mechanical failure at a California carnival. Only two children remain hospitalized and are listed in stable condition.

Mom breaks rules, little leaguer benched: A baseball player was suspended for two games because his mother did not show up to volunteer at the concession stand. Jodie Hooper agreed to help out during the games, but was a no show. League officials said Jodie broke the contract she signed and were forced to bench her son.
