Kids' music has moved way beyond lackluster renditions of Row, Row, Row Your Boat and Little Bunny Foo Foo, thanks to rock stars who've settled down with children of
their own.
When we heard the Barenaked Ladies was coming out with a kids' album, we were psyched. The recently released Snacktime is a must-have for kids AND their parents. "Our collective kids now outnumber the band more than 2 to 1," explains vocalist/guitarist Ed Robertson. The Barenaked Ladies isn't the only band getting into the kids' space musically. Mary Had a Little Amp Another compilation this one with the likes of Madonna and Jack Johnson. Not too shabby. Our favorite: The rendition of The Rainbow Connection from The Muppet Movie by the Dixie Chicks. Those chicks put that frog to shame. Click here to buy. |
