Let's face it, when you're a single mom, your sex life can amount to late-night dates with your Buzzy friend. As much as you love Buzzy for always being "on," eventually dating something that depends on batteries gets old.

Just like everything else you do as a single parent, having sex takes some creative planning. It's no different than planning anything else in your life, from play dates to piano lessons.

After you and your "friend" decide on a time, set up childcare. Decide if you'll send your kid on a fun slumber party and answer the door in lingerie. Or, will you hire a sitter at your place and use his pad for a few hours? Maybe you both have kids and need to get creative. (Sex in the car, anyone?) Make sure you always have protection.

One note of post-date caution: Clean up the room from top to bottom, making sure there are no "toys" or lubricants lying around, just waiting to be discovered by curious little tots. Dr. Leah Klungness, co-author of The Complete Single Mother: Reassuring Answers to Your Most Challenging Concerns, urges single moms to keep their "toys" in "an absolutely foolproof hiding place." Or else someday you just might hear your kid say, "Mommy, this jelly in your room tastes funny!" And I don't know how any mother could ever recover from that.
