Killer Fashion... Literally

Saggy pants have been around for--in our opinions--way too long, and they just won't go away. While several towns have tried to outlaw them, one man went over the edge by shooting a kid for wearing them.

Jasper County South Carolina recently installed a mandatory $500 fine for wearing pants three inches below the belt line, and towns in Florida and Louisiana are saying "no" to the low rider pants as well. Need more evidence that this is a trend teens should not try?

In Jacksonville, Fla., a 54-year-old man pulled out a gun and shot a rebellious teen in the stomach who refused to pull his pants up. The teen is fine, and the man is in jail on $100,000 bail.

Though we certainly think shooting someone for wearing something is beyond comprehensible, we would, however, like to shoot down some other popular fashion trends that just won't die or will never be forgotten. Remember those MC Hammer pants?

Everytime I see people walking around with their pants almost to their knees I have such an urge to pull them the rest of the way down. Must be the left over teenage in me. Hahaha. Shooting is pretty extreme I think! If they want to look stupid, let them. My sister went to a high school where a kid was shot, and killed, over his Nike jacket.

Well, I’d much rather prefer the saggy pants than the too tight girl skinny jeans a lot of teen boys are wearing now. Now, THAT’S weird!

when purchasing most pants you need the inseam measurement & the waistline measurement… they call it a “waistline” due to the fact that the pants button/zip at your waist, not around your hips/thighs… also, before you put on pants, you put on a garment called UNDERwear, because they are worn UNDER your clothing. the fact that parent let their children wear this is appaling. if my kids ever came through the door wearing their garments in the same manner, they would be removed from their bodies and taken out to the firepit to be burned immediately. they are starting to phase out the extra baggy for the “new” skinny jeans… one problem is they missed the boat on what the skinny jeans were about: skin tight, body hugging, barely able to breath. not hugging the body w/ loose/roomy spots around the knee area & so baggy in the butt it looks like they are wearing a diaper that hasn’t been changed in a week!

Yeah, I’m a teen, and I never really got the boys saggin’ their pants thing or girls wearing cloths that made them look like sluts. I much more prefer long, tight pants, that don’t fall off when you walk. (on guys and girls ;)
