It's down to the dough--two women, two recipes, one first lady.

While their husbands are in going toe to toe over health insurance, the war, and gas prices, the first lady candidates are battling it out in a war of the taste buds for the Family Circle Presidential Cookie Bake-Off. Who knew a little recipe could explode into Watergate-like proportions? The Huffington Post accused Cindy McCain of stealing her Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookie recipe from Hershey's. We know all moms have "borrowed" a recipe (or two or three). Luckily, her charges were cleared, (comfort to all us recipe lifters), but we had to find out who really had the best treat.
After a quick, but yummy, taste test, Michelle Obama's Shortbread Cookies won the momlogic election by a whopping 9 to 3 vote, with one undecided mom making a sandwich out of them both. Our taste buds are voting Democrat, but whether she and her hubby will take the White House remains to be seen.
