Kid Review: 'Kung Fu Panda'
A review of Kung Fu Panda by 7-year-old Holden.
I went to a screening of Kung Fu Panda this week with my best friend in first grade. I was very excited to see the movie because I've been seeing commercials and billboards for it. I even begged my mom for Kung Fu Panda toys at McDonald's, but she won't let me eat there.
Anyway, the movie was so cool. It was about an overweight panda named Po. His dad wants him to run the noodle shop, but he wants to be a kung fu fighter. He wants to train under the best kung fu master in the world with his heroes, the Furious Five. Po is voiced by Jack Black. I've loved Jack Black ever since I saw School of Rock. He is so funny. I like it when he says "IT'S ON!" in the movie. My favorite thing about Kung Fu Panda was the fight scenes. When someone takes food from Po, watch out! He turns into a fighting machine. There was even a battle with chopsticks that was really amazing. I take karate and kung fu lessons after school, too.
Mom said this movie was made by the same people who made Shrek and Madagascar. I liked this movie even better than those (even though I've seen those about 20 times each). In the end of the movie, Po has to fight the bad guy named Tai Lung. I won't tell you how the movie ends, but it was awesome. My friend's mom says this movie is good for kids and moms, too. She said even if she didn't have kids, she would go see it. So that helped me convince my mom agree to see it with me again this weekend. I can't wait!
