Officials say 50 Cent, aka Curtis Jackson, is not a suspect.

Obama resigns from church: Senator Obama resigned as a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago after another controversial sermon hit the airwaves, this time by a visiting Catholic priest mocking Senator Hillary Clinton. Obama said he and his wife Michelle have been talking about leaving the church since the Reverend Wright scandal broke, and said he has "no idea how [leaving the church] will impact my presidential campaign, but I know it was the right thing to do for me and my family."

Fire burning at Universal Studios: More than 100 Los Angeles-area firefighters are battling a large fire on a back lot at Universal Studios, fire authorities said. The three-alarm blaze, which broke out around 4:45 a.m. PST, has damaged four or five structures.

Teen girl blames kissing drunk boyfriend for DUI arrest: A New York teenager says she kissed a boy who was drunk and that is why she was swerving in and out of her lane on Friday night. Seventeen-year-old Gianna Vigliotti's blood-alcohol level was almost two times the legal limit, and police found beer bottles under the passenger seat and a beer can in her purse. Gianna was arrested for a DUI and pleaded not guilty.
