American Idol winner says 'I do': Season 2 winner Ruben Studdard officially married Surata Zuri McCants in his hometown of Alabama. Studdard met McCants in 2006, while signing CDs in Wal-Mart. After they met, he followed her to the toy department where he asked for her phone number.
Craigslist home to many child prostitution ads: Police are trying to crack down on child prostitution using the free Internet classifieds site Craigslist, where the adds appear in the "Erotic Services" section. The police department says that it's hard to get these girls to stop doing what is working for them. "I wanted to feel loved...I wanted to feel important," said one 14-year-old prostitute.
Teen decapitated by rollercoaster: A 17-year-old was killed by the Batman rollercoaster at Six Flags over Georgia, after scaling two fences. "Some witnesses have stated that the individual was trying to retrieve something that he had lost," park spokeswoman Hela Sheth said, "Others reported that he was trying to touch the ride. This is merely speculation at this point, and we are working with the park visitors and local police to learn more."
Letter-writer claims to be pregnant soldier's killer: Police have received a letter regarding the death of 23-year-old Spc. Megan Lynn Tourma, whose pregnant body was discovered in a motel in Fayetteville, North Carolina on June 21. The author of the letter confessed to not only being Megan's killer, but a serial killer at large. At the bottom of the letter, the writer put the well known Zodiac killer symbol. "I will start using my role-model's signature," the writer states. Fayetteville police think the letter may have been written to mislead the investigators and media.
