Matilda was Heath's focus on Dark Knight set: Amid reports that Heath Ledger was obsessed and troubled during filming, co-stars say that daughter Matilda was Heath Ledger's focus while he was playing the Joker. "In between takes he would sit on the curbside and smoke a cigarette and laugh and talk about his daughter Matilda," said co-star Gary Oldman. "Heath showed me pictures of [Matilda] ... [he] would come in and say she did this and she did that," added co-star Aaron Eckhart.

Uncle of missing Vermont girl arrested: 12-year-old Brooke Bennett is still missing, but--in an odd twist--her uncle has been arrested for an unrelated crime. When police were investigating her disappearance, they uncovered evidence that he had sexually assaulted another minor. Michael Jacques, 42, faces charges of aggravated sexual assault against a minor, which carries a sentence of 10 years to life in prison.

Gas prices hit all-time high: Retail gas prices and crude oil futures rose to record highs Monday amid a backdrop of Mideast tensions and dollar concerns. The national average price for a gallon of gasoline climbed to $4.086, according to a daily survey by AAA. That was up 0.7 cent from $4.079 the previous day.

Dad charged in baby's fire pit death: A father says he fell asleep on a bench next to a fire pit with his 7-month-old son on his chest has been charged with manslaughter. Alberto Rios, 38, told police that when he awoke, the baby was not there. After searching for the child, the parents later found the boy dead in the fire pit.

That poor little baby! My heart breaks at the thought of this whole thing. What really makes me mad is that the guy seems to only be getting a slap on the wrist for this. How sad!!!!
