Teen Pranks Gone Wrong

The consequences can land them in jail ... or could even be a matter of life or death.

• In 2006, Ian McConnell Walker, 18, and Joseph Robert Tellini, 18, delivered marijuana-laced muffins to their teachers, hospitalizing 19. Both boys faced five counts of assault on a public servant and were suspended from graduation ceremonies. Walker was denied his diploma.
• In 2002, a 17-year-old Midland boy nearly burned himself to death after he and his friends tried to imitate a "Human BBQ" stunt they had seen on MTV's Jackass. They were charged with aggravated assault.
• This year, Longview, Wash., teens rearranged a neighbor's Christmas display so it appeared the reindeer were breeding. When the elderly homeowner angrily confronted the kids, the stress of the event caused the man to collapse and die of cardiac arrest.
• A 16-year-old Icelandic boy figured out President Bush's private phone number and gave him a call. He identified himself as the president of Iceland and requested Bush return his call. When the Secret Service was informed, the police paid a visit to the teen, who wouldn't reveal how he obtained the phone number. However, authorities surmise the boy guessed the digits after watching a recent Ellen episode during which Jenna Bush called the president.
• In March, two Canadian teens, age 15 and 17, were hospitalized during a prank to set the ground on fire. After pouring gasoline on the ground behind a strip mall, the boys accidentally spilled the fluid on their clothes. When igniting the gasoline, their clothing caught fire, and even after jumping in the snow, both boys suffered first, second, and third-degree burns.
• In Florida, three teenagers died in a car accident hours after three other teens had removed a stop sign from a dangerous intersection. The vandals (two are pictured above) were convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 15 years in prison. However, they later won an appeal and the verdict was overturned.
Teens pull pranks for the thrills, but most do not consider the consequences, which can even be deadly.
Have your kids ever pulled a dangerous stunt ... or did you pull one when you were a teen?

Could I make a bit of advice? I believe you have had something great above. But imagine if you also included a couple of links to a website which supports what you’re you said? Or simply you might give us some extra information to check out, something would connect what you were mentioning, sth tangible?
