Tour de Lance
Monday, June 23, 2008
The most famous biker in the world, cancer survivor Lance Armstrong, is now known as much for his bevy of Hollywood women as he is for his record-breaking athletic legacy and charitable work.

The New York Times is calling out the seemingly teflon pop culture icon, Lance Armstrong, for being more than an athlete and founder of Livestrong. The article says his public trysts with Ashley Olsen, Sheryl Crow and now Kate Hudson could tarnish his image as the clean cut, cancer-awareness spokesman. It goes on to mention that he goes to clubs and drinks beer. GASP.

I really liked him and Sheryl Crow together—he was really good for her. Too bad he started playing ring around the blondies.

Does it really matter who he dates, or what he does? He isn’t doing anything illegal, or even immoral. I still consider him to be clean-cut and a good role model for my son.

It’s absurd to say that a person cannot still do good things because they are social.
