Never Before Seen Kid Styles

First, there was the slutty prom dress story that got a teen arrested. Then, we discovered heels for newborns. Now, the polygamist sect is putting their line of clothing out on the market--just in time for summer.

From underwear to prairie dresses, the Texas ranch styles are in high demand.
While most of us wouldn't imagine dressing our kids in these "modest" looks--the sect is plagued with numerous sexual abuse scandals--the bohemian look IS in and pastel was all over the summer runways. And who doesn't want to wear long underwear in the middle of the summer, to go with our hotter than hell butt-length hair. Speaking of modesty and neatness, the prices on these things are not so modest and range from 30-80 dollars for a girl's dress.
In essence, the whole thing is hypocritical: The covered up/anti-sexy styles have created an opposite trend, polygamists are supposedly anti-society, so why sell the clothes to the modern world? They are already benefitting enough from us, as polygamists' wives are considered to be single mothers. And where is the money going? To the men controlling them, or are the women secretly creating an escape route (in that case, we might consider buying a prairie dress: Halloween IS right around the corner).
We'll stick to Target for our back-to-school shopping.

everything else is on sale here…. why not them butt ugly clothes?
I don’t understand why it’s “wrong” for them market their clothes. So it’s okay to market thongs, miniskirts, and tube tops to pre-teens, but to encourage modesty is wrong?
I, personally, wouldn’t buy those clothes, but that doesn’t make it wrong to sell them. I wouldn’t buy a lot of clothes out on the market today, but that’s neither here nor there.
I hate those modest clothes, what is this the 19th century, halooo! we are in the 21st century, not 19th! the polygamist style is too much!
Well the polygamist sect needs to raise money for their legal fees some how!
I dislike those clothes.
In case the author of this article didn’t notice, many people with “hotter than hell butt-length hair” keep it pulled up, so it is both out of the way and not hot. I have butt-length hair (no, I’m not a polygamist sect member or worried about modesty), and I find it extremely easy to keep from being too hot. Braids, ponytails, buns, etc. all are excellent for those hot summer days, and long hair can provide a bit extra warmth in the winter months when worn down.
Has anyone noticed a lot of the articles on this site are extremely snide to anything the authors don’t happen to agree with? I am all for a good debate, but it would behoove the authors to be a bit less holier-than-thou.
I think the little pink dress is adorable. My daughters love to read little house on the prairie and would love dressing up in the prairie style dresses. My teens on the other hand would not be interested in the teen dress at all.

While they are entitled to cover up in obedience to modesty, to put the clothes on the market is just wrong. I would never want to wear them.
