Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline are the two newest members of the Jolie/Pitt clan. But where did the monikers originate from? Of course we turned to momlogic friend Jennifer Moss from BabyNames.com for her take. "Knox may be an homage to one of Brad's favorite artists, Archibald Knox, and also continues the "X-theme" for their boys: Pax, Maddox, Knox." Moss adds, "I also heard it may be a family surname from Brad's side--which is a popular trend nowadays, using family surnames as first names."
"Vivienne and Marcheline are traditional French names, coming from Angelina's mom's side of the family. Angelina's mom's name was Marcheline, she passed away in early 2007."
As for BabyNames reader reaction to the names: "So far, our members like the girl's name, not so sure about Knox."

The girl’s name is kind of cute and I understand the connection to her mother, but Knox Pitt?? Come on! Only those of the rich and famous can get away with a name like that! This kid would be torn to shreds with a name like that in the REAL world.
