A-Rod's alleged cheating is enough for his wife to divorce him, but sponsors don't seem to care.
Alex Rodgriguez is expected to earn $6 million this year from endorsements with Nike and Pepsi, among others. The New York Post reports he'll probably keep his deals, despite growing allegations of extramarital affairs--fitness model Alicia Marie and former stripper Candance Houlihan can now be added to his growing list of ladies.
Cheating isn't murder--or even dog abuse--but it is ending his marriage and forever altering the lives of his two young daughters. Are endorsements all about athletics, or should there be a code of ethics followed by those pushing products? While athletes get away with behaving badly, teachers lose everything over completely legal--albeit interesting--activities on the side. Supermodel Kate Moss lost some big-time endorsements when she was photographed snorting cocaine--and we all know Michael Vick lost serious cash when his dog fighting secret came out. Guess it's OK for heroes to be dogs, just not hurt them.
See our Scandalous Celeb Endorsement gallery and guess who else did and didn't lose their sponsorship deals.
