After a woman got an STD, she learned her husband was having unprotected sex with prostitutes in Asia. Do you think the amount she's asking for is fair?

Stephanie Lerner of Manhattan is suing her venture capitalist husband, Mark, for giving her multiple sexually transmitted diseases that he contracted on business trips overseas, reports the NY Post. The suit, filed with the Supreme Court, is asking for $25 million. It states that "[Mark Lerner had] numerous encounters of unprotected sexual relations with commercial sex workers in China and Japan, as well as an ongoing affair with Jane Doe in New York." He failed to tell his wife of 16 years about his sexcapades, and she was forced to have several operations to cure her ailments.

Well if she was hit with ALL the STDs at one time, not she isn’t being greedy. If she kept getting them one after another she had to have known something was up with her husband she still stuck around and continued to have sex with him. I highly doubt it was the latter, so no, I don’t think she is being greedy. I’d want my 25mil, a divorce and the whole world to know his name, to know not to sleep with this man who has no problem spreading these diseases!

I doubt $25M is even a drop in the bucket for a venture capitalist who travels the world bedding hookers … the least he deserves for bringing their diseases home to his wife is to have his bank account deleted.

I think the NYPost reported that she claimed Mark J. Lerner, President of Morgan, Evan and Company, gave her HPV - human papilloma virus…a disease which leads to Cervical Cancer…and possibly death as well as loss of body parts…25 million for possibly killing or dismembering someone? $25 Million dollars would seem like NOthing for that…Is that called…murder…mayhem? Is HPV something a man gets from gay sex? I guess no-one is talking about whether these “sex workers” were men or women….is this why Mark Lerner is a trustee on the financial committee of MoCCA - the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art - moccany.org ? Will the U.S., China or Japan seek to prosecute Mark Lerner for criminal behavior related to endangering his wife, use of “sex worker’s” or as a “john” using prostitutes or other sex-related crimes? The last question could be whether Mark Lerner transported a woman for immoral purposes as in the Eliot Spitzer case or violated international law?

I know both both of them. The one thing i know is that Mrs. Lerner’s attorney has been getting more phone calls from people who have “known” Mr. Lerner, and who are worried as to what else this guy is carrying.

Disgusting story. Mark J. Lerner is a no good cheating liar. He destroyed his family. He promotes his company Morgen Evan as an international powerhouse but he fails to pay his bills. He promotes himself as a sophisticated gentleman when he is in fact a soft spoken con man. Why does any woman get involved with him? Why does any company do business with him? He should be exiled to a leper colony to stop him from infecting another woman or man with his disgusting diseases.
