'Pregnant man' gives birth! ABC News reports that Thomas Beattie, who has been dubbed "the pregnant man," has given birth to a healthy baby girl. Beattie is a transgender male who retained his female reproductive organs with the hope of becoming pregnant one day. He and his wife, Nancy, decided he would carry their child when they found out she was unable to conceive.

Naomi Watts is pregnant! The Australian actress, 39, is in her second trimester with her second baby, according to the latest US Weekly. Actor boyfriend Liev Schreiber, 40, is the father. The couple met on the set of the 2006 film The Painted Veil and are parents of son Alexander, born in July 2007. Watts's rep had no comment.


Mom withholds cancer medication from son: Kristen Anne LaBrie, 36, faces charges for allegedly withholding cancer medication from her 8-year-old autistic son. The boy, Jeremy Fraser, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2006. His cancer went into remission, but has since returned because his mother didn't fill more than half of his prescriptions and she canceled or delayed hospital treatments.

School rejects kid with long hair: Five-year-old Adriel Arocha was not accepted by Needville Elementary School in Fort Bend County because his long braided hair (a Native American tradition) violates the school's ban on hair covering the ear or eyes. The superintendent says exceptions are made for religion, but until Adirel's parents can provide proof of their beliefs, their son won't be allowed to attend school. The family has received support from local residents and plan to appeal the decision, even if it means going to court.
