Moms Are Talking About...

Angelina Jolie finally delivers: It looks like this is the real deal. Angelina Jolie reportedly gave birth to twins last night in a hospital in the French Riviera. Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline weighed in at just over 5 pounds each and were delivered via c-section. For those of you still counting, this is baby number 5 and 6 for the growing Jolie-Pitt crew.

Cars accidents decrease as gas prices rise: A new study reports that as gas prices continue to climb, auto related deaths are expected to decline. For every 10 cent increase on a gallon of gas, there was a 2.3% reduction in car deaths--6% for 15 to 17-year-old drivers. There are an estimated 40,000 deaths each year as a result of car accidents and higher gas prices could cut that number by 12,000 annually.

Gun giveaway canceled at church retreat: An Oklahoma church planned to giveaway a semiautomatic assault rifle at a weekend retreat for teens, but canceled it after one of the event organizers was unable to attend. The church said the gun giveaway was to encourage teen turnout. The shooting competition has been canceled and the church says they will give the gun, that cost them $800, away next year.

Baby name sold for $100 gas card: A Florida father-to-be sold the right to name his unborn son to two radio hosts in exchange for a $100 gas card. The child will be named after both DJs and take the name Dixon AND Willoughby Partin. Once the hosts see the birth certificate, they'll hand over the gas card.

The people that sold the naming rights to their child are absolutely insane. Child Protective Services should be waiting outside the delivery room to remove the child from the parents. $100 won’t give them much more than a tank of gas and yet that poor kid will have a horrific name for the rest of it’s life. This is greediness to the extreme.

who’s says it’s a horrific name? you? It’s not like the child was abused or anything…
