Moms Are Talking About...

Britney Spears and K-Fed reach settlement: Britney Spears and her ex Kevin Federline have reached a custody settlement. According to the agreement, which still needs to be signed off on by the court, Federline retains sole custody of the couple's two sons, Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden, 1 1/2. Spears - who's currently allowed two visits and one overnight per week - will get more visitation rights.

Mother saves daughter from drowning: A mom rescued her 4-year-old daughter from death after the girl's arm got stuck in a pool drain on Wednesday. The little girl Rose was playing in the pool when her arm got stuck in a suction drain. In seconds, she was unconscious. After finally pulling her out of the pool, her mom administered CPR she learned nine years ago, and revived her daughter. Rose is being monitored at Miami Children's Hospital, to make sure her lungs are functioning properly.

Teen at Guantanamo cries for his mother: A ten-minute video released Tuesday shows a 16-year-old boy captured in Afghanistan crying for his mom and asking for medical attention during questioning by Canadian officials at the U.S. military prison in Guantanamo Bay. ''Oh Mommy,'' he cries in despair in Arabic when he is alone in the room, watched only by hidden cameras. ''What you see in the video is a teenager begging for help and what you see is an interrogation that violates U.S. law and any international law concerning the rights of children,'' said Wells Dixon, a lawyer for the New York-based Center for Constitutional Rights. ''If this is the way a teenager in Guantanamo has been treated, you can just imagine how anyone else has been treated.''

Laci Peterson's mom fuming over Scott's blog:
Scott Peterson is awaiting the death penalty in San Quentin State Prison for the deaths of his wife Laci and their unborn child but his blog is gaining much attention, upsetting Laci's mom, Sharon Rocca. The Web site shows photos of him and Laci and also musings about his "wrongful conviction." Rocha appeared on CNN's "Larry King Live" Thursday to discuss the blog and what she thinks of her former son-in-law, saying, "It is outrageous for this to even be happening. I just feel that, you know, it just does a great injustice to the victims and their families. They can no longer speak for themselves. And being on death row is supposed to eliminate an inmate's privileges."

I am sick of Britney. Who is going to supervise overnight visits and make sure she does not smoke, drink, or use drugs around the kids. She needs to get her act together and act like a responsible adult. Strange how there have been no complaints aobut how K-Fed treats the kids like she did. He is obviously the better parent. She should be paying child support and have supervised visitation. The teenager crying at Guantanamo demonstrates what kids do when they have been lead astray and are in too deep for their level of maturity. Mistreating this young boy shows how perverse America has become, caring more for the unborn than the born and treating children with wanton cruelty. Abu Gharib and Guantanamo are both disgraces to America. The Religious Right pretends to be Christian and yet did not display public outrage over the treatment of our fellow humans and pressure Bush to stop it. The Bush administration has been given over to a reprobate mind. Children must be cared for, educated, and nurtured even if they are suspected of being terrorists. They are CHILDREN FIRST. The mother who pulled out her daughter from the drain: This is not unusual but always remarkable. A mother will do things like pull cars off of her children to save them. God and adrenaline give them special power. Scott Peterson: Why shouldn’t he have a blog? Don’t read it if you don’t like it. Stop the pouting. If Scott is denied his freedom of speech then we are all in danger of losing ours. I hate whiny victim’s families who want killers to suffer more and who call themselves Christians but support the death penalty, which Jesus did not. They say they believe in the love of Christ and forgiveness for sin, but they so often want revenge instead. Scott Peterson is on death row. He will probably be executed. What Laci’s mom needs to be doing is praying for his salvation, and forgiving him. Hate cannot live in the same heart with Jesus. Make sure you are saved, Sharon or you will go to hell just as easily as Scott. Hate is no worse a sin than murder. Which reminds me of the example of the family of Dr. Martin Luther King. The man who killed Dr. King’s mother while she was playing the organ in church forgave him, went to
