U.S. couple told: "Sorry, your adopted baby was stolen": A DNA test has proved that a stolen Guatemalan baby was adopted by a U.S. couple. Dozens of Guatemalan mothers have reported stolen babies, and it has long been suspected that they had been put up for adoption in the country's $100 million-a-year adoption industry. "This is the first time that we've been able to show, with irrefutable evidence, that a stolen child was put up for adoption," said Jaime Tecu, director of a team of experts reviewing Guatemalan adoptions. Guatemala froze the 2,286 pending adoptions in May while they are investigated.
 
ADHD increasingly common in older kids: More older children are being diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, while the rate for children under 12 remains constant. Although this particular study didn't investigate why this was happening, they did discover that the rate of ADHD for older children is rising 4 percent each year. There is suspicion that the increase is reflecting the misuse of Retlin and other similar medications. "There are people out there being treated for ADHD that probably don't meet the diagnostic criteria," said Scott Kollins, director of Duke University Medical Center's ADHD Program. ADHD is characterized by impulsiveness, inability to focus, and hypertension.

Teens shown porn at Boy Scout camp: A parent named Randolph Johnson has been arrested for showing young boys pornography and offering one of them alcohol and cigarettes at a Boy Scout camp in Rhode Island. Johnson has been charged with misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and procuring alcohol for and providing cigarettes to a minor.
