Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong split: After a whirlwind three-month romance, Kate Hudson, 29, and Lance Armstrong, 36, called it quits. According to a source close to the couple, the breakup was mutual. The two had spent time with each other's families, most recently enjoying a Father's Day brunch with Hudson's ex and four-year-old son Ryder. It was during the Lance Armstrong Live Strong Summit in Columbus, Ohio this past weekend that the couple decided to part ways.

Dog attacks mom for disciplining her child: A mother disciplining her child for breaking a glass was attacked by her boyfriend's pit bull on Tuesday. Police say the woman stabbed the dog in self defense and two neighbors came to her rescue by beating the dog with a pipe and board. 27-year-old Kathryn Long was hospitalized with serious dog bites to her arm and buttock. The dog will be euthanized

Pregnant prostitution ring busted: Two women were charged with prostitution on Thursday after being arrested in a sting operation at a Lake Ozark hotel last week. Two more women were arrested, and three of the women are pregnant. The undercover bust occurred after the police department received several reports that pregnant women were advertising prostitution on an Internet advertising site. The women ranged in age from 18 to 22 years old.

1) If it hadn’t been a pit bull it wouldn’t have been in the news. 2) Good! The child broke a glass, why be punished? Poor dog.

Amber, you obviously have never been bitten by a vicious dog. Pit bulls and others like it should be chained up when company is around, especially children. Keep our children safe first. The mother had every right to disipline her child, thats what is wrong with this counrty, we no longer care about ensuring what is right from wrong, kids just do what they want because the government has taken the rights of a parent away for the most part. Going back to the dog, well if it were you being bitten and then having to stab the animal off you, then there is no poor dog about it.

Yes, I have been attacked by a dog. A german shepard. Only dogs portrayed as “vicious” like pit bulls make the news. Yes, all dogs can snap and they are animals but the dog was reacting to the woman punishing her child. A punishment that the child didn’t even need because a glass broke. If I break a glass my husband doesn’t punish me for it, if my kids break a glass I don’t punish them for it. It’s a glass. Big freaking deal if it breaks. I never said people can’t punish their kids for anything but I think breaking a glass is a stupid reason to punish anyone.
