New McCain ad compares Obama to Paris Hilton: Senator John McCain went on the attack yesterday in a new advertisement, which compared Senator Barack Obama to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. Obama responded by saying, "He's spending too much time talking about me. The only way he's going to win is if you're scared of me." See the controversial ad below.

More women donate eggs in bad economy: Now more than ever, women are donating their eggs to make ends meet. Across the country, fertility centers have also seen a surge in repeat donors and surrogates. "There's no reason to think that suddenly there's 30 percent more people who have suddenly had this inner feeling to help out people and what's changed, it's the economy," said fertility specialist Ed Marut. How much do egg donors make? "The donors will make in the area of $7,000, and the surrogates will make anywhere from $20,000 to $30,000 plus," said Nancy Block, founder of the Center For Egg Options.

Do the suburbs make you fat? A new study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine reports that people who live in neighborhoods designed for foot traffic weigh eight pounds less than those living in areas who need cars to travel. Researchers say neighborhoods built before 1950 have more sidewalks and other pedestrian-friendly features including nearby restaurants and businesses, and that designing more walking areas would have a positive impact on health in the future. However a recent report predicts by the year 2030 half the buildings in the United States will have been built since 2000.

What a compliment! Washington Governor Chris Gregoire, who's 61, was turned away from a local bar last weekend because she didn't have her ID. The bouncer checking identification at a downtown Olympia bar called Hannah's refused to let Gregoire inside even when her colleagues and husband confirmed her identity. Gregoire had no choice but to go home, but she told Seattle's KING-TV she feels flattered the bouncer thought she might be under 21.

Kids are fat because their parents drive them everywhere. It’s doesn’t matter if you live it the city or suburbs. When my DD was in elementary school alot of parents in my neighborhood drove their kids to school everyday (even in nice weather) even though it was only 2 blocks away.
