After getting parents and conservative groups everywhere fired up over April's OMFG campaign, The show has come back with even more shocking publicity tactics.
These billboards for the fall season are sure to get moms talking
about not only the images of young people engaging in lewd, sexual conduct, but also for including provocative reviews that are designed to make teens (and adults) even more eager to catch every episode. Will it work?
One mom in the office was upset by the new ad campaign. "As the mother of two daughters, ages 12 and 14, what continues to disturb me about the Gossip Girl ad campaign is that their blatant sexuality is shoved down my kids' throats. There's no escaping the giant billboards (two of them on the route home from school) with naked teens getting it on. It's just wrong."
How do you feel about this new ad campaign? Is it a "parent's worst nightmare"?
