Everyone's buzzing about this unusual name ... momlogic deciphers it.
Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale named their new son Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale. We asked babynames.com founder Jennifer Moss just what the heck it means.
ZUMA it is a short version of the Aztec name, MONTEZUMA, which means "frowns like the Lord," according to Moss. (Also, Zuma is a popular beach in Southern California.)

NESTA is the original name of Bob Marley, which means it has a Jamaica connection just like Kingston, their 2-year-old's name. "Perhaps that's intentional," Moss says.
As for ROCK, well...that's what this couple does best! Moss recommends that Zuma bypass the first two names and use "Rock Rossdale." (However, that does sound a bit like a Flinstones character, come to think of it.)
What does the babynames.com community think about Gwen's new baby's name? "Disappointed," Moss confesses.

Well - it’s weird. But weird is normal now. So much for the Zach, Jennifer and Kristins of the world. Zuma is the new John.

While I’m not a fan of names like Pilot Inspektor and Banjo, I still think the world could use a ALOT LESS Johns, Jennifers and Michaels! Sometimes what’s considered “normal” can be overkill, too. (And is actually just a nice way of saying: BORING & UNORIGINAL).
