Rob Lowe and ex-nanny both claim victory: Yesterday, a California judge threw out four of Rob Lowe's claims against Jessica Gibson, his former nanny, but also one of Gibson's. Gibson had previously claimed the actor sexually harassed her during her seven-year employment with the Lowe family. Lowe had denied the claim, saying she was promiscuous. "This is a huge victory for us today," said Gibson's lawyer, Gloria Allred. "We look forward to continuing with our sexual harassment suit against the Lowes."

Teachers and families picket to oust principal:
Parents, kids and faculty staged a sleep-in on Wednesday at the Dolores Street Elementary School in Carson, CA to force Anna Barraza, a disliked principal, to resign. Barraza has been accused of running the school like a "dictatorship,"speaking in a demeaning manner, banning fundraisers and field trips, and instilling a staff tardiness policy. The principal said "there are two sides to every coin" and "in order to make progress there needs to be change." Barraza, transferred to the campus last year after facing similar protests at two other schools.

Female athletes linked to bad body image:
Playing sports is thought to improve self esteem, but according to a recent study published in The International Journal of Eating Disorders, girls who play sports and exercise regularly are more likely to develop eating disorders compared to women who don't play on sports teams. For example, a top basketball player is more likely to have an eating disorder than someone who plays soccer on the weekends with friends. The study also found women who experience high anxiety about their athletic performance are even more likely to be dissatisfied with their bodies.

Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor hospitalized: The 76-year-old Oscar-winning actress was taken to the hospital on Thursday for undisclosed reasons but is expected to return home soon. "Ms. Taylor is fine," read the statement released by her publicist Dick Gutttman. "Her hospital visit was precautionary. She will be returning home shortly. At present, she is surrounded by family, friends and fabulous jewels." Guttman said he had no further details about Taylor's health or location. A person who answered a call placed to Taylor's home on Thursday said Taylor's condition was "nothing to worry about."
