Morgan Freeman and wife to divorce: Freeman's lawyer, Bill Luckett, told a Memphis newspaper that a divorce is pending between Freeman and his wife of 24 years, Myrna Colley-Lee. Luckett declined to provide further details. Maddie McCann spotted? Newly released police files regarding the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, 3, reveal that a shop clerk in the Netherlands claimed to have spoken to a toddler calling herself "Maddie" soon after the girl's disappearance from a Portuguese vacation villa. According to British newspapers, the little girl said, "Do you know where my mummy is? She is not my mummy. She is a stranger, she took me from my mummy... They took me from my holiday." The girl also told the clerk the couple had a small circus in France. Police reportedly kept this information from detectives.
Start your day with eggs: Eating two eggs for breakfast helps overweight adults lose 65 percent more weight, 61 percent body fat, and feel more energetic than those who eat a bagel breakfast of equal calories, according to a study published in the International Journal of Obesity. "Eggs are a good source of all-natural, high-quality protein, so they can help keep you satisfied longer, making it easier to resist tempting snacks," said lead researcher Nikhil V. Newgent.
Subway groping law shelved: Despite the fact that 63 percent of New York City women claim to have been sexually harassed on the subway, transit officials have curtailed an anti-groping campaign because they fear it will actually encourage perverts. Part of the problem is that a similar campaign in Boston has led to increased incidents of gropings.
