The "Boss" to perform at the Super Bowl: Super Bowl XLIII on Feb. 1 will feature Bruce Springsteen during their halftime show. NFL VP of programming Charles Coplin said, "The music business is going through some hard times. Performers care deeply about their album sales--and an appearance on the Super Bowl can move the needle dramatically." Although Springsteen will not be paid for the performance, it is expected to dramatically increase his album sales.

A close friend dishes on Rielle Hunter: Pidgeon O'Brien, a close friend of Rielle Hunter, is speaking to the press about Hunter's character: "She always had a determined bent and tried to get into people's minds" years before she transformed into "a free and open hippy chick," O'Brien said. She also stated that they would talk on the phone for hours about Hunter's relationship with John Edwards. When asked about Hunter and Edward's recent paternity issues, O'Brien remarked, "She enjoyed sex, drugs and had fun, but that doesn't mean she robbed banks."

Moms outraged over pregnant dummy: A store selling lingerie for pregnant women had to take down the "pregnant" mannequin from their front windows because it was angering women. Amanda Bere dressed the mannequin in a black nursing bra, and was taken aback when the "nursing" women outside found it offensive. "And I am the only shop in Selby that does sell maternity wear; I wanted to show people what I did," Bere stated.

Spain's basketball team offends Chinese?
The Spanish national basketball team, gold medal contenders in the Beijing Olympics, may be pressing their luck in a recent team photo that was taken. In the full page ad, the team posed as they pulled back their eyes in a slanty-eyed gesture. The ad ran in a Spanish newspaper.

Interesting that they preassured that woman into moving the mannequin because the baby bump offended them but every time I go to a mall I get assaulted by Victoria Secret porn.

What’s so offensive about a pregnant mannequin? Like Birdsfly said - we get assaulted with Victoria Secret porn at every turn, but it’s okay?

I don’t understand why nursing women would have been offended by that. Having just weened my 14 month old daughter I would have liked to see a nice pretty black nursing bra. I wore the same white one the whole time (of course I washed it). I don’t understand why people get offended by things like that. I loved being pregnant and I would have loved having some sexy maternity lingerie instead of boxers and my husbands t-shirts. I feel for the store owner.

If you take the jump on the link to the actually article the nursing women weren’t offended by the mannequin they were ticked that she had to move it and thought it should stay in the window.
