Britney wants kids to have "normal childhood": In an interview with OK! Magazine, Britney Spears says she doesn't want her sons to pursue a career in entertainment. "I'd rather not," Spears told OK!. "But I'd love them unconditionally if they wanted to. I'd just as soon they have a more normal childhood." As for her relationship with her own father, dad Jamie Spears says contact with Britney has improved, but adds: "Like all daughters, she is very manipulative and cunning. So she gets what she wants a lot."
Pregnancy Pact principal resigns: Joseph Sullivan, the high school principal who triggered a firestorm after saying teenage girls from Gloucester High formed a pact to get pregnant, has resigned. Sullivan later said he couldn't remember using the word "pact" but believed many of the pregnancies were intentional. Mayor Carolyn Kirk said she couldn't confirm the existence of a pact or verify his comments. The principal said in a statement released by his attorney Tuesday that he believes the mayor "publicly slandered my reputation, my integrity and my intelligence."
Third grader sings the blues: 8-year-old blues guitar child prodigy Tallan "T-Man" Latz has been banned by the state Equal Rights Division from playing in bars and clubs in Wisconsin, or else face heavy fines. An anonymous e-mail sent to state officials complained Tallan was too young to perform in nightclubs because of state child labor laws, and Tallan has even received death threats. Tallan says before getting the letter he overheard local blues guitarist James Kemeny, 44, say he shouldn't play in bars, but Kemeny denies the accusation. Tallan says he plays to "put smiles on people's faces."
Boy wrapped in toilet paper, set on fire: A Utah boy playing with friends was seriously burned Monday night when they wrapped him in toilet paper in a wrestling game and set it on fire. When one member of the group used a lighter to ignite a piece of toilet paper, the flames spread around the wrestling ring. Tyler Morgan, 11, was taken to a nearby hospital after burning 20 percent of his body, mostly on his chest, face, head and neck. He is in surgery and his condition is being monitored.
