Shaq and Shaunie reconcile: The wife of Phoenix Suns center Shaquille O'Neal says the couple's marriage is on the mend. Shaunie O'Neal says she and her husband plan to put a stop to their divorce proceedings before leaving Florida next week. She said Thursday that "it will be officially off in a few days." Shaquille O'Neal filed for divorce in Miami-Dade Circuit Court last September, after nearly five years of marriage. They have six children. Cinderella and Snow White arrested: Disney characters including Tinker Bell, Cinderella, and Snow White were handcuffed, frisked and taken into police custody on Thursday at a labor protest in Disneyland. 32 other protesters were involved in the dispute which included 2,300 maids, bell hops, cooks and dishwashers at three Disney-owned hotels who are requesting affordable health care and higher wages. The protesters were arrested on a misdemeanor count of failure to obey a police officer and two traffic infractions.

Edwards' mistress paid extra cash: Rielle Hunter was given $14,000 after she stopped working for John Edwards to obtain 100 hours of unused videotape she had shot for his presidential campaign. However, Hunter already had been paid $100,000 for the programs. Edwards insists he wasn't paying Hunter to keep her quiet about the affair, but the implications are significant because the money came from Edwards' OneAmerica political action committee, whose expenditures are governed by U.S. election laws. Using money from a political action committee for personal use is a federal crime.

Man kills cat in cold blood: A man who killed his girlfriend's cat, telling her to "follow the blood trail to find Tweety," has been sentenced to two years in prison. The woman found blood in her apartment but Tweety the cat was never found. Scott Allen Atkinson, 46, killed the cat after an argument in October, then told the woman's daughter he was going to murder her mother. Atkinson pleaded no contest to two felony charges of animal cruelty and threatening the woman's life. He was sentenced Wednesday.
