Jessica Simpson hawks diet beer: The pop star, 28, has teamed up with Stampede Brewing Co. to represent Stampede Light Plus Beer, a low-carb, low-calorie brew. She'll serve as the beer's spokeswoman and appear in advertisements. When Simpson tried the beer, she liked it so much because it was "consistent with her healthy lifestyle and values," her publicist said. "She likes to invest in healthy products." According to its label, Stampede Light Plus beer is packed with B-vitamins and has only 115 calories per beverage.

Seinfeld is new face of Microsoft: In it's never-ending battle with Mac, Microsoft has cast Jerry Seinfeld in their new $300 million ad campaign which will also feature Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates. Seinfeld will reportedly receive $10 million for his work. The attempted image overhaul comes as Microsoft executives fear Windows has grown stale and has been battered by Apple's "Mac vs. PC" ads which feature a dorky PC guy getting upstaged by a hip Mac counterpart. The campaign, said to debut September 4, is one of the largest in the company's history.

Caylee's mom posts bail, to be released: The mom of missing Orlando toddler Caylee Anthony posted bond Wednesday afternoon and is expected to be released from jail today. Bail bondsman Tony Padilla paid the $500,000 bond for Casey Anthony, 22, who remains a "person of interest" in the disappearance of her daughter, missing for more than two months. A member of Leonard Padilla Bounty Hunters' staff will now move into Anthony's home and stay with Casey, who will be fitted with an ankle-monitoring device. Rumor has it that the Padillas' goal is to shoot a TV show called Bounty Hunters, but the Padillas insist their only interest is finding Caylee.

Gym teacher gets jail time for student affair: A ex-gym teacher who slept with a 14-year-old student and sent him erotic cell phone messages was sentenced Wednesday to three years in prison, partly because she called the boy after she was charged. The boy's family had been willing to settle for a lighter sentence (without prison time) until they found out Beth Ann Chester, 27, had contacted their son. She was charged with statutory sexual assault, corruption of a minor and criminal use of a cell phone. "I know this is the punishment I deserve," she said. Chester's lawyer says her marriage was troubled when she met the boy, which caused her to develop sexual feelings for him. Chester's divorce is pending. Padilla is full of it. His only interest is publicity. If his only interest was in finding Caylee, he would not have left Casey to have “time with her family.” She CAN’T have time with her faimily - part of her family is missing. But we all know what she thinks about her daughter - she told us herself: “all everyone cares about is Caylee.” Well, duh! Aren’t YOU, as her MOTHER supposed to care about her, too?!? It breaks my heart to think about what may have happened to that little angel, and it turns my stomach to think that Casey is now able to take a hot shower and bask in the adoration of her loving “family,” while that little angel is still missing. Where is the JUSTICE in this? How is this helping Caylee??
