Seinfeld is new face of Microsoft: In it's never-ending battle with Mac, Microsoft has cast Jerry Seinfeld in their new $300 million ad campaign which will also feature Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates. Seinfeld will reportedly receive $10 million for his work. The attempted image overhaul comes as Microsoft executives fear Windows has grown stale and has been battered by Apple's "Mac vs. PC" ads which feature a dorky PC guy getting upstaged by a hip Mac counterpart. The campaign, said to debut September 4, is one of the largest in the company's history.
Caylee's mom posts bail, to be released: The mom of missing Orlando toddler Caylee Anthony posted bond Wednesday afternoon and is expected to be released from jail today. Bail bondsman Tony Padilla paid the $500,000 bond for Casey Anthony, 22, who remains a "person of interest" in the disappearance of her daughter, missing for more than two months. A member of Leonard Padilla Bounty Hunters' staff will now move into Anthony's home and stay with Casey, who will be fitted with an ankle-monitoring device. Rumor has it that the Padillas' goal is to shoot a TV show called Bounty Hunters, but the Padillas insist their only interest is finding Caylee.
Gym teacher gets jail time for student affair: A ex-gym teacher who slept with a 14-year-old student and sent him erotic cell phone messages was sentenced Wednesday to three years in prison, partly because she called the boy after she was charged. The boy's family had been willing to settle for a lighter sentence (without prison time) until they found out Beth Ann Chester, 27, had contacted their son. She was charged with statutory sexual assault, corruption of a minor and criminal use of a cell phone. "I know this is the punishment I deserve," she said. Chester's lawyer says her marriage was troubled when she met the boy, which caused her to develop sexual feelings for him. Chester's divorce is pending.
