McCain's 5 million dollar mistake: In a recent interview with evangelical pastor Rick Warren, John McCain made a joke that is making headlines nationwide. Asked by Warren "at what point--give me a number, give me a specific number--[...]do you move from middle class to rich?," McCain replied "How about $5 million?" After realizing what he had said, McCain remarked that his comment would likely be taken out of context.
61-year-old surrogate mom gives birth: A 61-year-old Japanese woman has given birth to a surrogate child. She is believed to be the oldest surrogate woman to ever give birth in Japan. She became pregnant through the sperm of her son-in-law and the egg of her daughter, who is unable to carry children. The clinic that treated the woman has assisted 8 surrogates giving birth since 1999, four of which were between 55 and 61 years old.
A robbery for mom's birthday: A 37-year-old mother spent her birthday with her 17-year-old son...robbing gas stations at gunpoint. The mother of four drove the getaway car as her eldest son held up the cashiers. Both have been apprehended and are awaiting charges. Neither of their names have been released to the public.
