Last night, after a week in intensive care, the premature infant died. The child weighed only 3 pounds, 6 ounces and was too weak to survive, "despite valiant efforts to save his life."

Dog protects abandoned baby: A dog, who had just delivered puppies, rescued an abandoned baby in Argentina and kept him warm in 37 degree temperatures. The dog reportedly carried the baby over 50 meters from where he was dropped by his 14-year-old mother. Doctors say if the baby was not rescued by the hero dog, he would have died.

It's a girl for My Name is Earl star: Jason Lee and girlfriend, Ceren Alkac, welcomed a baby girl. The actor has a 4-year-old son, Pilot Inspektor, from a previous relationship. No word on the name of his new daughter.
