Hillary Clinton praises Obama's VP choice: The dream ticket of many democrats won't become a reality, but today Senator Clinton released a statement supporting Obama's choice of a running mate. Clinton said Senator Joe Biden is "an exceptionally strong, experienced leader and devoted public servant [who] will be a purposeful and dynamic vice president [and] help Senator Obama both win the presidency and govern this great country."

Premature baby dies one week after mother: Sean Michael Justin Sanz was delivered by emergency c-section last week, after his mother was hit by a van and died in New York City. Last night, after a week in intensive care, the premature infant died. The child weighed only 3 pounds, 6 ounces and was too weak to survive, "despite valiant efforts to save his life."

Dog protects abandoned baby: A dog, who had just delivered puppies, rescued an abandoned baby in Argentina and kept him warm in 37 degree temperatures. The dog reportedly carried the baby over 50 meters from where he was dropped by his 14-year-old mother. Doctors say if the baby was not rescued by the hero dog, he would have died.

It's a girl for My Name is Earl star: Jason Lee and girlfriend, Ceren Alkac, welcomed a baby girl. The actor has a 4-year-old son, Pilot Inspektor, from a previous relationship. No word on the name of his new daughter.
