Obama Rules The Night
Friday, August 29, 2008
Presidential candidate Barack Obama makes a historic speech on his family, McCain, and war in Iraq.
Barack Obama made history last night as first black man to accept the Democratic presidential nomination.
His 50-minute speech, made before a crowd of 84,000 supporters and thousands of flashbulbs in the Denver Bronco's stadium, fell on the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech.
Obama kicked things off by thanking Hilary Clinton for inspiring his daughters and Bill Clinton for his support the previous night, followed by Ted Kennedy "who embodies the spirit of service" and vice Presidential hopeful Joe Biden. Next came thanks to wife Michelle and his kids.

This was an AMAZING speech!!! Obama inspires me more and more every time he speaks like this. Unbelievable… And wow, McCain pulling out this Palin woman out of nowhere. At first I laughed at this as it seems like he’s just pandering to women and pro-lifers. But actually, I think this has changed the race quite a bit. I’m still for Obama all of the way but I’ve got admit that a McCain-Palin ticket will get the attention of a lot of those undecided women/mothers out there. It will be interesting…

I have to admit I was on the fence about who to vote for… I’m a democrat who supported Hillary Clinton and I just could never jump on the Obama band wagon. Now that Gov. Palin is on the Mccain ticket I’ll be voting for McCain/Palin. She’s very ethical and goes after corruption no matter what side it’s on. I know she will be great in Washington.

I am a democrat but gut feeling is telling me to listen to what is not being told publicly. I hope women put a lot of thought into thier vote. I will be voting McCain unless it is proved to me he did not condone the killing (leaving them to starve to death) of babies. He was the only democrat that voted against a bill that saved the life of live aborted babies.
