Phelps makes Olympic history and U.S. women's basketball beats China 108-63. Here were the best moments, and what to watch today.

Michael Phelps won his tenth and eleventh gold medal (totaling 11 golds!) in the 200-meter butterfly and the 800-meter relay, despite wearing water-filled goggles that he says impaired his vision.

• The Chinese women's gymnastic team won its first ever team gold medal in a U.S.-China showdown when Alicia Sacramone made two mistakes on the floor and Shawn Johnson stepped out of bounds.

• The U.S. women's basketball team beat China, 108-63. The victory was the United States' second consecutive win of at least 40 points.

• The U.S. women's indoor volleyball team, still affected by the death of Todd Bachman (the dad of 2004 Olympian Elisabeth Bachman), lost to Cuba.

• Australian Stephanie Rice set a new world record and won gold in the final of the women's 200m individual medley, beating the previous world record she had set by five seconds.

• The U.S. women's water polo team beat China, with Natalie Golda scoring four times and Brenda Villa adding a goal and an assist to lead the Americans.

Italy's Federica Pellegrini won gold while setting a world record in the Women's 200m Freestyle, while American Katie Hoff--who qualified second fastest for the final--finished fourth.

What's on tonight:

8 p.m. to midnight: Women's gymnastics
8 p.m. Swimming
8 p.m. Diving
8 p.m. Men's individual all-around final

Beijing Gossip:

• Some visitors to the Olympics are expressing shock at the scope of security imposed by the Chinese government. It's not only the 100,000 uniformed police that surprise people, but the 100,000 plainclothes volunteer security staff. The authorities have been trained to say: "Please take your personal belongings with you," "Have a nice day," and "David Beckham."

• British bantamweight Joe Murray and his coach accused Olympic judges of favoring his Chinese opponent yesterday after the Ukrainian team lost a protest of its fighter's loss to another Chinese boxer. British coach Terry Edwards agreed, calling the scores "absolutely stupid" and adding, "I thought they were very generous to the Chinese. You expect a slight bias, but you come to the Olympic Games and expect a level playing field."
